AMP provides event risk management, scene safety, and specialized medical care in wilderness and austere environments to the general public and members of the public safety community. The team prepares for emergent and pre-planned missions with trainings that occur 2-3 times a month on topics including land navigation skills, wilderness emergency medicine, communications, extracting a patient from the woods, and self-rescue.
